NEWPORT-A reportedly drunken resident in Bybee pointed a handgun at two officers who responded to a call at his home, on Saturday, Jan. 26, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported. Sgt. Robert Thornton and Lt. Richard Caldwell said the sheriff's department received four 911 calls Friday night from Patrick Allen Huff, 41, of 2483 Fowler Road, in Bybee, who stated his girlfriend had left home and he wanted her back home, the report stated. Officers talked to Huff, who was described as "extremely intoxicated", according to the report. Huff allegedly told officers he had found his girlfriend at a friend's residence and "everything was okay," the report stated. For more details, see Tuesday's edition of The Newport Plain Talk
