NASHVILLE-Cocke County Fair delegates brought home the
hardware from the 2013 Tennessee Fair Association's convention in Nashville
last week, including a huge trophy designating the local event as Tennessee's
Champion AA Division Fair.
Members of the Tennessee Fair Association fall into three
categories, according to local fair manager Libby Strange. "The fair's are
categorized by the county's population," she explained. "Our county's
population is about 35,000, which places us in Division AA." For more details, see Tuesday's edition of The Newport Plain Talk.
