NEWPORT—A meeting of the Cocke County Legislative Body’s
General Committee, focusing on filling the vacant 5th District CLB post, has
been scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the Courthouse Annex.
Fifth District Commissioner Bill Williamson passed away
in December. CLB members met in a called session earlier this month and decided
to forward the matter to the General Committee.
