NEWPORT-Jessy Daniel Stout, of Ponder, Texas, was arrested Friday, Jan. 11, and charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl who lives in Newport, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported.

The teenager's mother reported to Det. Kevin Benton that her daughter had left their residence without permission on Jan. 9, then returned sometime during the early hours of Jan. 10, Det. Benton reported.

Officers determined that the teenager was picked up in a vehicle driven by Stout and then taken to Motel 6 in Newport. Once there, Stout and the victim went to Stout's room, where they had sexual relations, the report stated.

Stout and the victim both allegedly admitted to having sex with each other.
