NEWPORT-Rick Henderson said that on Sunday, Jan. 13, at
about 3 a.m., he got a call from his neighbor, Wayne Webb, saying his barn was
on fire, Deputy Sheriff Heath Willis and Sgt. Robert Thornton of the Cocke
County Sheriff's Office reported.
Henderson said he looked out at his barn, and it was
fully engulfed with flames, the report stated.
Another neighbor said they saw a red pickup truck pull
out of a driveway across the street shortly before the fire in the barn became
evident.
In addition to the loss of the barn, Henderson's brother,
Kenny Henderson, lost his Nissan Maxima to fire damage. It was parked next to
the barn.
