NEWPORT-Following undercover drug operations
investigations, three people allegedly selling oxycodone pills, and a Cosby man
allegedly selling cocaine, were arrested Monday, Jan. 7, the Cocke County
Sheriff's Office reported.
Cocke County Sheriff Armando Fontes said Casondra Green
and John Henry Estrada, both of the same address in Dahlonega, Ga., were
traveling to Newport on a regular basis and selling oxycodone pills.
The Sheriff stated he, drug agent Chuck Evans, and Chief
Deputy John Carrell traveled to the Relax Inn on West Highway 25/70 on Jan. 7
to investigate drug activity in room 110.
Inside the bathroom, agents found Green and Estrada. In a
sock Green said he owned, agents found $800 in cash. In a jacket owned by
Green, agents allegedly found 88 oxycodone pills, which were in an older dated
bottle, the report by the three lawn enforcement officials stated.
