PARROTTSVILLE-A possibly armed robber stole an
undisclosed amount of money from Pizza Plus in Parrottsville on Thursday, Jan.
3, the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported.
A man wearing blue jeans, a gray hoodie, a red bandana
over his face, and dark sunglasses, walked "real fast" in the pizza
restaurant around 7:52 p.m., and headed straight for the cash register, Deputy
Sheriffs Joseph Owings and Shane Shoemaker reported.
At the cash register were Manager Melonie McMahan and an
employee. McMahan had apparently opened the cash register to give the employee
her credit card tips.
The robber never showed the ladies a firearm, but kept
one hand inside his hoodie the whole time he was robbing Pizza Plus, the report
stated.
