NEWPORT-A North Carolina felon allegedly pulled a knife on another man, and later got a pistol that he pointed to other customers in the State Line Bar on East Highway 25/70, on New Year's Day, at 1:45 a.m., the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported.

Lt. C.J. Ball stated that warrants have been obtained against Christopher Scott Harris, 25, who lives just inside North Carolina, near the Tennessee/North Carolina line.

Officers responded to shots fired at the State Line Bar, Lt. Ball stated in his report.

A victim, Amber Gosnell, 27, told officers there was a fight earlier in the evening between Harris and another individual. During their altercation, Harris allegedly pulled a knife on the individual.
