NASHVILLE-Cocke County's unemployment rate dropped 1.1
percent in November to 9.2 percent. The rate is 2.4 percent lower than November
of 2011.
Out of a workforce of 16,290 people, 1,510 were without
jobs.
In the area, Sevier County had the lowest mark at 6.9
percent, down from 7.5 percent in October. Hamblen County followed at 8.0
percent, while Jefferson County and Greene County were at 8.7 percent.
County non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for
November 2012, released today, show the rate decreased in 91 counties,
increased in one, and remained the same in three counties.
