NEWPORT-A Papa John's pizza deliveryman and the Little
Caesar's Pizza store in the Five Rivers Plaza were robbed of cash on Thursday,
Dec. 27, at night, the Newport Police Department reported.
A Papa John's deliveryman said he went to 318 White Oak
Ave. for a delivery of Papa John's pizza, at 8:45 p.m., Patrolman William
Garber reported.
The deliveryman said, when he got out of his vehicle, he
noticed the address residence looked abandoned. He said as he started to get
back into his vehicle, he was attacked by two men‚ one a white male, and one
black male‚ described as both with a slender build, around six-feet tall, and
wearing ski masks and gloves, according to Garber's report.
