Jeffrey Frazier, 43, of 507 Crawley Drive, in Newport, suffered serious facial and
other injuries when his 2007 Ford Taurus ran into a loading dock for a warehouse
on West Main Street, near Feed My Sheep Ministries, on Friday, Dec. 21. Witnesses
said that about 5 p.m., while headed west on Main Street, Frazier appeared to have
had a seizure, then slumped over the steering wheel, just prior to his vehicle running
into the loading dock, Capt. Scott Lamb of the Newport Police Department reported.
Frazier was cited for driving on a suspended license and no insurance, and might
get more charges filed against him, said Capt. Lamb after the wreck. Frazier was
transported to Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, and then to the University of Tennessee
Medical Center. On Dec. 22, he was listed in stable condition, the report stated.
