Travelers on Northcutt Street reached the "Dead End" earlier than anticipated after
this pine tree crashed across power lines on Thursday.

NEWPORT-High winds gusting to 45 miles per hour disrupted
power service to more than 2,600 Newport Utilities customers on Thursday.
According to NU Electrical Manager Jimmy Robertson, all
available NU crews worked to restore power in areas across Cocke County.
As of midday Thursday, power had been restored to
customers in the following areas: Caney Creek, Trail Hollow, Hartford, Grassy
Fork, Reece Hollow, Ridge Hollow, and South Highway 32.
