NEWPORT-Adam Walker, 21, of 121 Heather Way, in Newport, allegedly struck the bottom of his girlfriend's foot with a meat cleaver, on Saturday, Dec. 15, and was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault, the Cocke County Sheriff's Office reported.

Walker and his 25-year-old girlfriend allegedly got into an argument because she would not drink with him, St. Robert Thornton and Deputy Sheriffs Heath Willis and Tim Brannon reported.
