Mobile home destroyed by blaze

NEWPORT-A fire early Monday morning, Dec. 10, destroyed an unoccupied singlewide trailer in the Raven Branch area, the Cocke County Fire Department reported.

No one was injured.

The CCFD stated that a distress call came in at 12:36 a.m. about a mobile home on fire at 4075 Cabbage County Road.

Sources stated that the vacant residence, which had electricity to it, had been up for sale.
