NEWPORT-Both Newport Grammar basketball squads had to fend off late rallies from White Pine on Tuesday to come away with victories.

The Lady Warriors opened with a 32-28 win while the Warriors closed things out with a 41-39 win.

Paige Gentry led the Lady Warriors with 10 points. Santana Haney paced the Warriors with 13 points.
