Kiwanis Club scholarship fund receives gift

NEWPORT-The Newport Kiwanis Club's scholarship fund received a substantial boost recently when former Newportian Vicki Runnion honored her father, the late James 'Jim' Runnnion with a memorial gift.

Miss Runnion's gift of $10,000 will be added to the club's scholarship fund for local students' college work.

Jim Runnion was a longtime member of the local club, serving in numerous capacities, including that of president. "He was everything in the club," said fellow member Dr. Rich Lloyd.
