NEWPORT-Faced with a similar situation they encountered a week ago, the Fighting Cocks responded this time.
After holding a lead for most of the game, the CAK Warriors were able to take a lead on Cocke County late in the third quarter in a replay of last Thursday's game with Greeneville.
However, this time Cocke County was able to persevere for a 61-54 win, for their first victory of the 2012-13 campaign on Monday night.
In the evening's earlier game, the Cocke County Lady Red were unable to rally from a 15-point halftime deficit and fell to CAK 61-52.
