Accident victim airlifted to UT

COSBY-A rain-soaked road is being blamed for a single-vehicle accident on Trail Hollow Road in Cosby on Monday, Nov. 12, at 11:40 p.m., the Cocke County Sheriff's Department reported.

Joshua David Nicholson, 18, of 4420 Flat Road, in Cosby, apparently lost control of the Chevrolet he was driving while it was raining in the area, Deputy Sheriff Joseph Owings reported.

Nicholson's vehicle hit a tree head-on on the driver's side, Owings stated.
