COSBY-Cosby Junior Beta Club members hosted dozens of
local veterans at their school on Monday afternoon in celebration of Veterans
Day.
Veterans enjoyed a lunch prior to a program in the Cosby
High School gymnasium.
Cosby Elementary Principal Christy Edmonds welcomed the
veterans, their families, and other guests.
Addressing over 600 Cosby Elementary students, Edmonds
said, "These are very special men and women."
Edmonds told the group that with the death of Florence
Green last February, there are no living veterans of World War I left in the
world.
