NEWPORT-A man involved in the sale and delivery of
prescription pills in Cocke County "for some time" was arrested in an
undercover sting operation on Saturday, Nov. 3, Cocke County Sheriff Armando
Fontes stated on Monday, Nov. 5.
Edward Clemens Judd, 53, of 1510 James Branch Road, in
Newport, was arrested at the intersection of Carson Springs and West Highway
25/70, around 1:50 p.m., and charged with possession of Schedule 2 (Oxycodone)
for resale, narcotics agent Chuck Evans reported.
The sheriff, two narcotics agents, and Lt. Ricky Holt of
the CCSD assisted in the sting and arrest.
Officers allegedly set up the undercover drug buy, in
which Judd was to meet a drug buyer at the Exxon gas station near Carson Springs
