NEWPORT-A man and a woman were arrested following a vehicle chase on Thursday, Nov. 1, K9 Deputy Sheriff Chris Gregg reported.

The chase began after Chief Deputy John Carrell got behind a vehicle driven by Cordara Marquis Johnson, 24, of Asheville, N.C.

Johnson was wanted on a Circuit Court capias for failure to appear, Gregg's report stated.
