Daylight Saving Time will end at 2 a.m. this Sunday, meaning everyone should turn their clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Residents are also encouraged to check the batteries in their smoke alarms.
The United States first started observing Daylight Saving Time in 1918. Since 2007, Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends of the first Sunday in November.
Daylight Saving Time will return on March 10, 2013.
