Hooper II accepted the grand jury's report about 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The panel
is scheduled to meet again on Tuesday for the final of its two-day October 2012
session.
Defendants who are facing charges handed down by the
grand jury this week are scheduled to be arraigned by Judge Hooper on November
5 in the Cocke County circuit courtroom beginning at 9 a.m.
Miranda Marie Ellison Shropshire, who is identified as "a
parent, guardian, or [adult] who has control of the child" is charged with two
counts of violation of the state compulsory school attendance law for both
