NEWPORT-Savannah Marie Green, 27, of 209 Park St., in
Newport, was being housed as an inmate in the Cocke County Jail when a cell
search on Oct. 20 allegedly turned up contraband prohibited by state law for
jail inmates to have: marijuana, and a working cell phone, Det. Bryan Murr
reported.
Green was charged with introduction of contraband into a
penal institution, the report stated.
