NEWPORT-Members of the Newport Utilities Board of
Directors learned Tuesday that the utility will renew their contract with
Trinity Benefit broker Drew Mann to provide healthcare insurance for their
employees.
Pointing out that because this is a
"non-service" contract, no board action was required, NU Human
Resources Manager Connie Frisbee told the board that the decision was made by a
committee who asked interested companies to complete a 43-question survey
regarding their services.
"It is our recommendation," said Frisbee,
"to continue with Trinity because of their proven track record."
On hand to address the board were Mann and another
broker, Cindy Moyers, who said she has 35 years experience in insurance and is
locally based.
Sherry Frisbee, NU Finance and Accounting Department
Manager, echoed Frisbee's comments, saying, "I highly recommend Trinity.
They have done an excellent job."
