BYBEE-Det. Jason Oury of the Cocke County Sheriff's
Department is investigating the shooting of two animals, first a cow, and then
a bull, belonging to Buster Gray, of 301 Chilton Road, in Bybee.
In the latest incident, reported on Oct. 23, Buster and
Sylvia Gray told Lt. Rick Laws that they found their Black Angus bull that was
not yet one year old, shot and killed apparently sometime during the past
weekend.
The bull is valued at $700, according to the Grays.
Earlier this month, on Oct. 4, Buster Gray contacted
Deputy Sheriff Hollis Emmons about a cow of his that appeared to have been shot
in the upper right shoulder with a .22-caliber rifle, a report at the time
