Cocke County High School's Red Regiment band captured Grand Champion honors
at the John Battle Invitational marching band competition in Bristol, Virginia on
Saturday, October 13.

BRISTOL, VIRGINIA-When the last note sounded at the John
Battle Invitational marching band competition in Bristol, Virginia, it was
evident that Cocke County High School's Red Regiment band had come to town with
victory on their minds.
The local group swept top honors, including the grand
championship trophy for being the highest scoring band in classes AAA and AAAA.
They also picked up first place honors as the top band in
class AAAA, marching, general effect, and drum major categories, and, at the
end of the day, received the McDonald's Cynthia Roberts Memorial Championship
Cup, a special award given to the highest scoring band in any classification.
