COSBY-The Cosby football squad finally put everything together Friday night.

The Eagles earned their first region win of the season as they knocked off Hancock County, 41-6.
Cosby head coach Kevin Hall had been preaching ball control and winning the turnover battle all
week, and his team followed through.

The Indians finished the night with four turnovers while Cosby had just one.

"We needed a win," Hall said. "We've played a fairly tough stretch here against some pretty good teams. It feels good to come in here and execute, hold on to the football and do the things we need to do to win. We did all that tonight and the kids are excited."

"Getting off the field, us holding on to the football and converting on turnovers was going to be huge. It doesn't surprise me that Hancock got us on time of possession. That's the way (coach Darrell Miller) does it. He is the master at keeping his team in the game. He does a fantastic job. He's short on numbers and has a lot of young kids, but he's a great ball coach."

Drew Schreder led the offense with five touchdowns, four passing and one rushing.

He ended the night 15-of-27 for 263 yards. Kyle Stanton also caught five passes for 96 yards and a pair of scores.
