COSBY-A family member reportedly went to a residence on
Ball Hollow Road, in Cosby, on Thursday, Oct. 4, and made a gruesome discovery:
two bodies found dead in the living room, where they had allegedly been
decomposing for "probably" a few weeks, Cocke County Sheriff Armando
Fontes said.
"We're treating (the case) as a homicide because we
don't know yet what happened" to the middle-aged female and a male in his
30's, the sheriff stated.
"We have a very, very good idea who the bodies are,
but we're waiting for a medical report" from a medical examiner at the
University of Tennessee to perform autopsies, Sheriff Fontes said.
The bodies were found in a rural area at 4340 Ball Hollow
Road.
He also said the UT medical examiner was waiting on
dental records to be sent by the sheriff's investigators in the case, in order
to determine definitely who the adults are. For more details, please see the latest edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
