Fellowship of Faith Ministries continues to serve the
entire Cocke and surrounding county area through it's two ministries, Loaves
and Fishes Food Ministry and A Servant's Heart Outreach Ministry.
It is almost time to begin this year's A Servant's Heart
for Senior Christmas tree project to be held in co-ordination with the Cocke
County Sheriff's Office.
Last year the A Servant's Heart for Seniors tree was
located in the Cocke County courthouse as it will be this year. Sheriff Armando
Fontes has pledged to help once again in the collection of gifts for area
senior citizens who might not have a Christmas gift this year.
The ministry includes on the Christmas tree ornaments the
names of local senior citizens (over 60) and three gift idea suggestions. The
ornaments are taken from the tree by local citizens who wish to show love to a
senior by "adopting" them this Christmas. Gift ideas are mostly
"needs", not necessarily "wants". For more details, please see the latest edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
