NEWPORT-It is harvest time in Cocke County and the 27 Annual Newport Harvest Street Festival is quickly approaching.

In order to have the community event in downtown Newport, it is necessary to close four roads, Main Street, Mims Avenue, McSween Avenue, and Court Avenue to traffic beginning Friday, Oct. 5 at 5:30 p.m. until Sunday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

The Cocke County Partnership/Chamber of Commerce ask that all parking places located on these streets are vacated by 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 in order to allow craft and food vendors to set up for the festival. Please note vehicles will be towed at owner's expense.
