NEWPORT-An 11-year-old frightened to be with her
marijuana-smoking father in their Newport residence, called the Newport Police
Department to do a welfare check on her and her sister.
The minor child allegedly told officers that her parents
were in the home using drugs, and she was scared to be there with them, K9
Deputy Sheriff Chris Gregg reported.
Officers arrived to find the 11-year-old on the front
porch crying, the report stated. For more details, please see the latest edition of the Newport Plain Talk.
