Woman gets 32 charges for credit/debit card fraud

NEWPORT-A Maple Ridge Way woman was arrested Monday, April 23, and charged with fraudulent usage of a credit card and debit cards, for a whopping 32 times, Cocke County Sheriff's Department Det. David Crowder said.

Brittany Nicole Cureton, 20, of 1154 Maple Ridge Way, in Newport, was charged with 32 counts of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and one count of theft of property under $500, Det. Crowder reported.

Cureton allegedly used the credit and debit cards at eight different locations in Newport, sometimes more than once at the same business, according to Det. Crowder.
