Separate indoor marijuana growing operations lead to three arrests

NEWPORT-Donnie A. Black, 29, of 3477
Point Pleasant Road,in Newport, was arrested Aug. 31 and charged with manufacturing 50
marijuanaplants in his home.
Randy Cutshaw, deputy sheriff and Cocke
County schoolresource officer, initially went to the address the day before looking for atruant
juvenile, Cutshaw reported.
In a separate, unrelated operation, Eric
AnthonyStepping, 22, of 3544 Big Creek Road, in Hartford, was arrested Sept. 1 andcharged with
manufacturing marijuana, possession of Schedule VI for resale,contributing to the delinquency of a
minor, and possession of drugparaphernalia. Christopher N. Harp, 39, also of 3544 Big Creek Road,
was arrestedand charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
