COSBY-The season effectively begins for the Cosby Eagles
(0-2, 0-0) this Friday night when they host the Hampton Bulldogs (1-0, 0-0) at
Raymond Large Field.
Despite opening the season with two losses to Claiborne
and last week to Gatlinburg-Pittman, this will be the District opener for both
the Eagles and Bulldogs.
"This is it right here," said Eagles' head
coach Tyler Shelton. "Your biggest games of the regular season are your
District games, and we start District play this Friday night. These games are
all important, so you have to have that mindset going in."
Having played up two to three classes in their first two
games of the season, the Eagles will now be on equal footing, class-wise.
Kick off is slated for 7:30 p.m. The game will be
broadcast on tape delay by WLIK, AM-1270, this Saturday at 10 a.m. The voice of
the Eagles, Steve Sauder, will have the play-by-play.
