NEWPORT-The Kiwanis Club of Newport will celebrate its
90th anniversary with a celebration at Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center
on Wednesday, Sept. 1, beginning at 6 p.m.
Organized on Sept. 7, 1920, then chartered in Oct. 12 of
that same year, the club has literally put hundreds of thousands of dollars
back into the community throughout the years. Chartered with 53 members, the
club currently has 66 members.
