NEWPORT-The second year of the Kelly Kitzmiller era for
the Lady Red volleyball team got off to a smashing success on Tuesday night.
Cocke County opened their 2010 season in fine fashion,
dispatching non-conference foe Greeneville in three sets, 25-11, 25-22, 25-11.
"Everyone was playing really good and all my seniors
came through and really hustled," Kitzmiller said. "My middles came
through too, everyone just really played well tonight.
"I was really impressed, but we still
have a lot to work on to get where I want us to be," Kitzmiller said.
