The environmental forum held this past week was a perfect
opportunity for our current and prospective CLB members to address one of the
most important issues facing the County.
Unfortunately, only one current CLB member, Jimmy Lindsey, bothered to
attend the meeting. I believe this
is just another example of the arrogance and/or apathy that seems to be
prevalent in some of the current CLB membership.
I think it is time we stood up on our hind legs and let
the government leadership of the County know that we, the taxpayers, are no
longer willing to accept this "business as usual" attitude. We have the perfect opportunity to let
our feelings be known during the August 5 election. If you are fed up with the way the County now operates, let
your voice be heard through your vote.
