Michelle Lane assumes the role of Edith, the pastor's "take-charge wife" in the Newport
Theatre Guild's eagerly anticipated production of Showtime at Ivy Gap, set to open
March 26 at Newport Grammar School. Lane first appeared onstage with the guild as
Percy, the librarian, in their production of Dupont, Mississippi. She most recently served
with the production crew of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She's married to Tommy
Lane and they are the parents of three children: Luke, Matt, and Bailey. Lane is
employed by Smoky Mountain Eye Care in Morristown and Cracker Barrel in Newport.
Currently she is finishing her student teaching and will finish her Master of Education
degree in July. Show dates are March 26, 27, & 28 and April 2 & 3.
