Luke Goddard has announced his candidacy for Cocke County
Trustee in the May 4 Republican Primary.
Goddard and his wife Melissa have four daughters,
Rebecca, Ashlei, Heather, Maci, and two grandchildren Katrina, and Kyler
(Bill). Luke and Melissa attend First United Methodist Church.
Goddard has operated a local business in Cocke County for
more than 30 years. He got his start with Carson Valley Foods selling meat to
local grocery stores. Luke and
Melissa currently operate a real estate company.
In addition to his 30 years of business experience, he
has taken courses that include office management, real estate appraisals, and
risk management. Luke is probably
best known for his hard work in the auction industry.
Over 20 years ago, Luke began donating his time and
auction services at no cost to families, churches and not-for-profit agencies
by conducting benefit auctions in order to help them raise money.
"My promise to the people of Cocke County is that my
door will always be open and I will always put the taxpayer's of Cocke County
first anytime I make a decision in the Trustee's office," said Goddard.
Luke's business experience and education make him the
ideal candidate for Trustee.
"The May 4 primary will be here soon and I would
like to ask you to vote for me in the Trustee's race," he added.
"Also, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone for their
overwhelming encouragement."
