NEWPORT-The Cocke County Legislative Body will meet in
regular session at 6 p.m. Monday in the Cocke County Courthouse.
Road issues will be a major topic of discussion as the
CLB will consider taking in eight-tenths of Blessing Way, .64 miles of
Applewood Way, .3 miles of Apple Grove Road and seven-tenths of Heartland Ridge
Way.
Also on Monday's agenda are the appointments of Beth
Freeman, Gray Sparks Jr., George Ailshie and Gay Webb to the Equalization
Board. A reappraisal plan for 2015 will also be presented.
In other business, the CLB will consider a resolution to
apply for an extension to the Point Pleasant waterline project and hear monthly
reports from the Cocke County Partnership, Newport Animal Shelter, Allied EMS,
the director of schools, county mayor and county attorney.
