An auction is being planned to benefit Travis Stuber, 16,
who was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis in 2005. He is a former CCHS
student, but due to his illness, Stuber is being homebound schooled. His family
moved from New York to the Newport area a few years ago.
Autoimmune Hepatitis is an illness that is a common
reason for liver transplants in children. Stuber has recently been admitted for
a life-threatening massive hemorrhage from a varix, which requires over 15
blood transfusions. He is in stable condition, but this condition requires
medical attention and management, which cannot be delayed due to lack of
funding.
The family is seeking auction items to be donated on
Travis╒s
behalf. All donations can be dropped off at Goddard Real Estate on West
Broadway. The auction date will be announced at a later time.
For more information please call Wayne Stuber at
423-721-8864.
The Travis J. Stuber Donation Fund has been established
at US Bank for donations.
Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated by the
family.
