Residents should remember to move their
clocks ahead onehour this Saturday night, which marks the start of Daylight Saving Time.
Daylight Saving Time, which was first established in theUnited States in 1918,
has been moved various times during the past century.
Beginning in 2007,
the Energy Policy Act of 2005 resultedin Daylight Saving Time to be moved to the second Sunday in
March and ends onthe first Sunday in November. Daylight Saving Time will end this year on
Nov.7.
