PARROTTSVILLE-The Parrottsville Library recently received a
new drop off box for returned books and materials checked out from the library.
Librarian Alia Young said Wednesday, "This makes it more
convenient for people to use the library services."
Those people returning books or other materials will now be
able to do so "24/7" by using the box instead of waiting to do so in person in
the library during the hours it is open.
Residents donated $500 for the drop off box, which was
matched by $500 from Modern Woodmen of America in Parrottsville. It was the
maximum amount that Modern Woodmen could donate for the project, according to
Lavonda Trentham, junior director for Modern Woodmen in Parrottsville.
Young said the $1,000 given to the library went to the
purchase of the book drop box and adult fiction and kids' nonfiction books that
the Parrottsville Library "really, really" needed.
