Emily Jane Smith reprises her role as Vera, the opinionated wife of First Baptist Church of
Ivy Gap's most powerful deacon, in the Newport Theatre Guild's upcoming production of
Showtime at Ivy Gap, set to open March 26. Smith most recently appeared as Grandma
Josephine in the guild's production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last fall. When not
on stage, Smith enjoys performing karaoke and attending and participating in poetry slams
in Knoxville and Asheville. Show dates for the production are March 26, 27, & 28 and April
2 & 3.
