NEWPORT-The Cocke County Partnership will hold its first legislative breakfast on Friday, March 5 beginning at 8 a.m. The breakfast will be at Lilly's Restaurant located inside the Mountain Crest Inn on the Cosby Highway. 

Presentations and federal updates will be given by Congressman Phil Roe and representatives of Senators Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker. State Senator Steve Southerland and State Representative Eddie Yokley will give updates on current issues facing the State of Tennessee and legislation pending in the general assembly. Local government updates will be given by representatives of the City of Newport, the Town of Parrottsville, and Cocke County.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet with elected officials and hear up-to-date reports on the issues facing our elected leaders. After the presentations, a question and answer session is available to those attending.

The legislative breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. and end around 9:30 a.m. The cost to attend is $10, which includes breakfast for attendees.
