AARP Safety Driver Class for those 50 and older will be held on Wednesday and  Thursday,  February, 10-11 at the Cocke County Senior Center from 1-5 p.m. 

The cost for the class is $12 for the two days for AARP members and $14 for non- AARP members. Facilitator will be Gary Starkey. Students must pre-register and pay by Monday, February 8 by 4 p.m. Cars have changed; so have the traffic rules, driving conditions, and the roads drivers travel every day. 

The benefits of brushing up on one's driving skills cannot hurt.  Students will  learn adjustments to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time. Also participating states like Tennessee offer reductions or discounts on auto insurance to drivers 50 and older  who complete the AARP Driver Safety Class. For more information call 623-1400.
