Six reach plea agreements in racketeering, chop shop case

GREENEVILLE-Six people have entered plea agreements in
connection with a chop shop and racketeering operating in Cocke County.
Ray Hawk and Grant Williams are alleged to have
spearheaded the operation, which was the target of an FBI investigation last
year.
The plea agreements, reached with Judge Ronnie Greer in
U.S. District Court, are as follows:
Milburn Thomas Williams has agreed to plead guilty to
"aiding and abetting trafficking in a motor vehicle bearing altered
identification numbers." The offense is punishable by imprisonment of not
more than 10 years and a fine of not more than $250,000.
Eric Scott Williams has agreed to a guilty plea for
"conducting a racketeering enterprise, which carries a sentence of not
more than 20 years and a fine of $250,000.
Curtis Gene Reed and Doyle Maloy reached agreements to
plead guilty for "aiding and abetting owning, operating and maintaining a
chop shop. Both face a sentence of up to 15 years and a $250,000 fine.
Felicia Darlene Stewart has agreed to plea to mail fraud,
which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
Rebecca Nicole Hawk will plead guilty to owning,
operating and maintaining a chop shop, which is punishable by up to 15 years in
prison and a $250,000 fine and to conspiring to distribute and possess with the
intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base, which is punishable by
5 to 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine.
