County's elementaryschool basketball squads wrapped up regular season play this past Thursdaynight
as Northwest visited Parrottsville, Grassy Fork played at Del Rio, SmokyMountain hosted Centerview
and Edgemont played at Cosby.

Lady Parrotts wanted to finish strong, and they didagainst the Lady Patriots. The Lady Parrotts flew
out to an 11-0 first quarterlead, and made it 19-3 at the half. The Lady Parrotts led 37-3 at the
end ofthe third quarter and coasted home with the 41-point victory. Katie Holt had agame-high 15
points to lead the Lady Parrotts while Tiffany Tyler had twopoints to lead the Lady Patriots.

Parrottsville fans left their gymnasium all smilesThursday night after the
Parrotts completed the sweep of Northwest with avictory over the Patriots. The Parrotts held an 18-7
first quarter lead and led33-17 at the half. The Parrotts led 48-27 at the end of three and flew
homewith the 24-point victory. Seth Lovell had a game-high 17 points to pace theParrotts while
Francisco Torres had 10 points to pace the Patriots.

the Lady Trojans in the earlygoing and never looked back. The Lady Ravens jumped out to a big 21-2
lead atthe end of the first quarter. The Lady Ravens had built their lead to 50-19 atthe end of the
third quarter and cruised home with the 28-point victory. DessieShaffer had a game-high 25 points to
lead the Lady Ravens while Autumn Stokelyhad 19 points to lead the Lady Trojans.

too much on this night. The Trojans led by just three, 13-10, at theend of the first quarter, but
their lead ballooned to 41-28 at the end ofthree. The Trojans then marched home with the 13-point
victory. Jason Cambellhad a game-high 14 points to lead the Trojans while Cole Shepherd had 13
pointsto lead the Ravens.

This was a hard-fought
contest from the opening tip. TheLady Falcons led 8-5 at the end of the first quarter, but their
lead was onlytwo at the break, 15-13. The Lady Falcons still led the Lady Bears by two,22-20, at the
end of the third quarter, and held off the Lady Bears for thefour-point victory. Hannah Miller had
nine points to lead the Lady Falconswhile Cyara Williams had a game-high 14 points to lead the Lady
Bears.

With the regular season complete, the always
much-anticipated post-season tournament is set to get underway this Monday, February 1. However, if
school is closed, the tournament may have to be delayed. The tournament, as always, will be held at
Cocke County High School Gymnasium.
The tournament brackets
were undergoing changes on Saturday, so were unavailable for inclusion in today's paper.
Tournament Director Connie Ball says brackets will be available at
all schools on Monday morning, February 1. If you have any questions about the brackets, you can
