Friday's sunshine and warmer weather helped pack the local car washes as motorists rinsed
caked salt off after snow and ice the past week. At the Eastport Aquajet Autowash there was
a line of vehicles. Car wash overseer P.A. Clark said the business had been busy since
mid-week. Washing his Toyota is Ruey Ricker. Others chose the autowash that also cleaned
the undercarriage of salt. Eastport car wash is operated by John Dale Ramsey next to the
market and BP station off East Broadway.
